
Dr. Hannah Taylor, Principal

Dr. Taylor earned her undergraduate degree from the
University of Kansas, a master's degree in teaching English to speakers of
other languages from Grand Canyon University, a master's in educational
administration from Kansas State University, and a doctorate at the University
of Kansas. Dr. Taylor started her career at Scott Dual Language Magnet as a
preschool teacher. Then, she was the Early Childhood and Intervention
Consulting Teacher in the district office before becoming an Assistant
Principal at Whitson. This is Dr. Taylor's 9th year in education and Topeka
Public Schools and 4th year serving as a principal. Dr. Taylor has a deep
belief that all students can and will learn and works to support all students
and staff in achieving this goal. Dr. Taylor is a lifelong Kansas resident who
enjoys spending quality time with her fiancé, friends, and family, especially
through games and escape rooms!

Robert Gay, Assistant Principal

Mr. Gay, Assistant Principal has been in education since
1992 and has been a part of the Topeka Public Schools community since
1994. Mr. Gay has worked at the Elementary, Middle, and High School
levels. He has been a part of the Chase Community since 1999. Mr. Gay
taught PE, Health, Math, and computers before becoming an administrator. Mr.
Gay attended Washburn University, the University of Hawaii, and Emporia State
University. Some of his responsibilities with students are monitoring grades,
student behaviors, and taking care of facilities.
